Senior Designer
Design planning and delivery of print, web and branding initiatives grounded in user research and human factors; designed solutions for Nike, Western Union, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Kent College of Law, and Chicago’s Museum Campus.

Led ethnographic research studies to observe athletes and their timing devices, helping Nike to understand how best to design the Triax line of watches for runners, triathletes and adventure racers. Recommendations included an 8-bit custom typeface and device button placement.
Developed a new system of user manual development for all Nike timing devices, replacing an 8-language 200+ page tome with a simplified, iconographic manual design on onion skin—saving nike millions in printing costs.
Museum Campus
Collaborated with researchers and designers to develop a plan for the Chicago campus holding the Field Museum, Adler Planetarium, and Shedd Aquarium. Culminated in a Design Plan merging the three institutions together into a “museum campus”, leveraging each others strengths in both on-site, outdoor information booths, a comprehensive campus map for tourists, and a scavenger hunt for younger visitors to experience all three facilities.
Chicago Symphony Orchestra
Conducted field research to better understand the symphony’s loyal patronage, as well as younger Chicagoans who didn’t see the CSO as a viable cultural destination. Developed a design plan to leverage younger programming, exhibit design and a website complete with virtual seat choices and ticketing to address the age gap in patronage.
